Walmart adds health care degrees to its $1-a-day education benefits

Walmart said Tuesday that it has added seven bachelor’s degrees and two career diplomas in health care fields to its education benefits. Last year, Walmart created a program that would allow its employees to earn a college degree without taking on student debt. It started out with business and supply chain management curriculums. Walmart pays all costs, tuition, fees and books that are not covered by financial aid. Employees pay $1 a day for the five years it’s expected to take for a working employee to complete a bachelor’s degree.
