Seasonally adjusted truck tonnage rose 4.1% in August compared with a year earlier, according to American Trucking Associations’ For-Hire Truck Tonnage Index. The index also showed seasonally adjusted tonnage increased 4.3% year-to-date compared with the first eight months in 2018.
