News Fred’s Inc. will sell its remaining pharmacy assets as part of its bankruptcy filing could benefit drugstore giants CVS Health, Walgreens Boots Alliance and potentially other retail pharmacy chains. Fred’s Monday announced it has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and will soon begin liquidating assets and selling off its pharmacies and related operations.
