Truck tonnage down again in March as capacity constraints take hold

Truck tonnage declined for the second consecutive month in March, in a sign that the industry continues to cool after rapid growth at the end of 2017. The American Trucking Associations (ATA) reported that truck tonnage declined 1.1% in March from February’s levels, following an upwardly-revised 0.8% decline in the previous month.
