Shippers, it is clear, want greater visibility into their supply chains, not just from trucking companies and shipping lines but from third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and brokers. In an electronic poll, three quarters of the transport and logistics executives at the 2017 Transportation Intermediaries Association Conference here Thursday said US shippers already have required they provide real-time visibility as a prerequisite to doing business.
