Shippers are shifting their cargo to the air as the Europe-Asia ocean capacity shortage drives up freight rates on the traditional backhaul sea route. IAG Cargo has reported a 23 percent increase in air freight volumes on key routes from Europe into Asia Pacific over the first two months of the year compared with the same period in 2016.
