Global airfreight volumes in 2016 rose 3.8 percent compared with the previous year, according to the most recent data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA). IATA noted the increase was nearly double the industry’s average growth rate of 2.0 percent over the last five years, with all regions except Latin America showing positive freight growth during the year.
