US trucking companies divide over electronic logging devices

More than half of the trucking companies questioned in a recent survey said they are already 100 percent compliant with an electronic logging mandate that takes effect December 2017. However, nearly 25 percent of those motor carriers, mostly smaller trucking companies, said they have no “immediate plants” to begin implementation of electronic logging devices.
